Coconut Creek, FL — A familiar favorite in the Coconut Creek creative community is entering an exciting new chapter. The local art studio formerly known as Hawaii Fluid Art Coconut Creek has officially rebranded as Arches Art Adventures. While the name has changed, the studio’s commitment to creativity, connection, and joyful artistic experiences remains the same. Arches Art Adventures continues under the same ownership and with the same dedicated team and instructors that guests have come to know and love. Hawaii Fluid Art in Coconut Creek Marks First Anniversary, Receives Local Business Recognition

COCONUT CREEK, FL - Hawaii Fluid Art in Coconut Creek recently celebrated its first year, offering a creative space where anyone can create beautiful artwork, regardless of age or ability. Owner Maritza Sosa said she opened the studio to share the joy of art with everyone in the community. For those efforts, she was recognized with the Small Business Leader of the Year award by the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce, an award recognizing entrepreneurs who have made an impact on the local economy and culture. A chemist from Cuba with a successful career as a Quality and Operations executive, Maritza said she was drawn to Coconut Creek because of the city’s appreciation for art and reputation as the “Butterfly Capital of the World.” “As soon as you walk into our studio, you know we are passionate about butterflies,” she said. One of the studio’s standout offerings is the Butterfly Experience, which combines fluid art and resin art to create one-of-a-kind, butterfly-themed pieces, a favorite for birthday parties and team-building events. The studio offers a variety of creative experiences and workshops, including name-sake fluid art, resin art beach scenes, fluid bears, resin art tumblers, mosaics and charcuterie boards, which is a popular choice for ladies nights, she said. Studio Director John Paul Jimenez, a modernist painter with a background in biology, said visitors are often surprised by what they can create. “There’s a wow factor when people come here,” he said. “They are captivated by the process and mystified that they can make such beautiful artwork.” Maritza sees a natural connection between science and art. “Science is sometimes an art,” she said. "Bringing science into the arts makes it possible for us to make the joy of art accessible to everyone. Our instructors guide you step by step throughout the process, while encouraging creativity.” Their goal, she said, is to always provide a delightful experience while customers create beautiful artwork. “I always tell customers to focus on having fun and just enjoy the experience,” she said. “We make sure they love their artwork.” The studio, she added, has become a popular spot for birthday parties, team-building events, and group workshops, drawing in residents from across Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Boca Raton.
